Paul Caddy speaks to Lee Burkhill about social media.
Many will know Lee as a presenter on BBC One's Garden Rescue. But he’s also a garden designer, blogger and well-known YouTube vlogger. His website is one of the top resources for gardening in the UK. He’s also won plenty of awards and nominations for his work including from BBC Local Radio, the Royal Horticultural Society and the Garden Media Guild, In 2021 he won the BBC North West Community Garden with the RHS.
His social media presence has blossomed over the years: he runs a popular gardening YouTube channel which is full of practical gardening tips, design advice and reviews of some of the best gardens around. He’s also on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
In this podcast we talk to Lee about his approach to social media. What works for him. And what doesn’t. Ultimately, Lee reiterates the need to be authentic and create content which has meaning—and isn’t designed just for likes.
