Episode 21 of our Journey Through a Contract sees Paul Nightingale and Ria Champaneri discuss the importance of Governing Law and Jurisdiction provisions.
Paul and Ria explain why its so important to consider which Law should govern a Contract and why it shouldn’t be left to chance. They also discuss the fact that Parties are free to choose whichever Governing Law they wish as well as what happens if a provision isn’t included in a Contract. The guys also identify the distinction between Governing Law and Jurisdiction provisions as they should not be seen as the same thing.
